GTR Driving Experience – Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: 17 June 2026

About the Niche Drive GT-R Driving Experience

The Niche Drive GT-R Experience is a professionally coordinated self-drive experience designed to provide guests with a more refined and exclusive way to enjoy some of Japan’s most iconic performance cars.

Each experience is conducted with a dedicated lead vehicle operated by Niche Drive staff, providing route guidance and coordination so guests can focus on the enjoyment of driving rather than navigation.

The experience is intended solely for responsible road driving and appreciation of Japan’s automotive culture. It is not designed for racing, competitive driving, speed contests, drifting, or performance testing.

Routes, destinations, and planned stops may be altered due to traffic conditions, weather, police instructions, road restrictions, vehicle concerns, or other operational requirements.

1. Reservations & Booking Confirmation

Submission of a reservation request does not guarantee vehicle availability.

A reservation is considered confirmed only when:

• The reservation request has been approved by Niche Drive;
• Full payment has been received; and
• These Terms & Conditions have been accepted.

Approved reservations may be held for up to 48 hours before being released to other guests.

Reservation changes are subject to availability and require prior approval from Niche Drive.

Niche Drive reserves the right to decline any reservation request at its sole discretion.

2. Driver Requirements

Drivers must:

• Be 30 years of age or older;
• Hold a valid driver’s licence issued by their home country;

• Present their original driver’s licence;
• Present their original International Driving Permit;
• Present their original passport;
• Present a valid credit card in the driver’s name; and
• Meet all legal requirements necessary to drive in Japan.

Failure to present the required documents may result in cancellation without refund.

Niche Drive reserves the right to refuse driving privileges if a guest:

• Fails to meet eligibility requirements;
• Presents invalid documentation;
• Appears impaired by alcohol, drugs, or medication;
• Is considered unable to safely operate the vehicle; or
• Refuses to comply with instructions provided by Niche Drive staff.

3. Security Deposit Pre-Authorisation

A refundable security deposit pre-authorisation will be placed on the driver’s credit card approximately 2–3 days prior to the reservation date.

The pre-authorisation amount varies depending on the vehicle reserved and will be advised prior to reservation confirmation.

The pre-authorisation is a temporary hold only and is not a charge.

The hold will be released following the experience provided there is:

• No vehicle damage;
• No traffic violations or unpaid charges;
• No breach of these Terms & Conditions;
• No costs arising from negligence or misuse;
• No outstanding claims or administrative fees.

Depending on the card issuer, release of the funds may take several business days.

Niche Drive reserves the right to retain the security deposit pre-authorisation until all repair costs, claims, and associated expenses have been fully determined.

4. Insurance & Excess

All vehicles are insured in accordance with Japanese regulations and include:

• Third-party liability coverage; and
• Vehicle damage coverage.

The following insurance excess applies:

• Vehicle remains safely drivable: ¥150,000

Any losses not covered by insurance remain the responsibility of the driver.

5. Additional Costs & Non-Operation Charges (NOC)

If a vehicle becomes unavailable for operation due to damage, contamination, misuse, or other circumstances arising during the experience, a Non-Operation Charge (NOC) may apply.

The following charges apply:

Where a vehicle becomes unavailable due to damage arising during the experience, a loss-of-use charge of ¥50,000 per calendar day will apply for each day the vehicle remains unavailable, commencing from the date of the incident until the vehicle is returned to service.
